Welcome to 2015 Season

Hi everyone, and welcome back to Kings Cliffe Flyers.

We wish you all an enjoyable, safe and successful cycling season whatever you get up to.

We are in the process of updating and improving our website after a period of inactivity.  You can also find us on facebook, so if you have not already joined the group we encourage you to network with local like-minded cyclists – it’s a great way to find a local group ride or a training partner.

We have just started our club time trial season as of Tuesday 14th April, so if you want to have a go you’ll find an updated Club TT calendar under the Time Trials page.  These are friendly, informal events and your race fee includes a free cuppa and cake!

*CLUB CLOTHING SPRING ORDERS*

As the season gets under way we are making a clothing order very soon, so if you would like some new kit or fancy racing in a aerodynamic skin-suit go to the Club Kit section and download the latest clothing order form.  GearClub cycle clothing is premium quality, Italian made and offers great value for money.  Please note our order deadline is Sunday 26th April.

Happy Cycling!

Secret Santa Night & Prize Presentation

A short ride up to Fineshade before the party & prize presentation ensured that everyone was hungry for festive food.

Appropriately decorated helmets were the order of the night with reindeer antlers being the common theme although Ben’s flashing fairy lights didn’t have the same effect indoors when it came to the judging. Local junior riders Keira McVitty & Jenny McAndrew were the jury & deemed Jerry Norman to be the winner with his toilet roll fashioned antlers.

The final presentations were for the Kings Cliffe Flyers Go-Ride Racing Series in which all three places overall were awarded to KCF riders &  the King Cliffe Flyers Youth Champion 2013

Secret Santa Night – Thursday 28th November

Santa is a busy man so he’ll be making an early visit to Kings Cliffe on Thurs 28th Nov just before the prize presentation.

There will be the normal MTB ride up to Fineshade leaving at 6.30pm from Kings Cliffe Active which will return in time for the cycling quiz, nibbles & hot chocolate. Santa will distribute the presents & there will be a special prize for the best decorated helmet. Annual prize presentation at approx.  7.20pm or earlier if no ride due to poor weather. You don’t have to ride to come to the presentation afterwards.

All youth riders welcome. Just bring along a wrapped present valued £3.00 – £5.00 to be placed in Santa’s sack. I will bring the hot chocolate. If you could all bring a little something whether sweet or savoury or even healthy so you can have a picnic that would be great.

Parents – I’ll be on the ride so if any of you could get there for 7pm to set up a few tables and chairs, lay out some of the food & get the kettle on please get in touch.

Why not ask for a Kings Cliffe Flyers t-shirt £8 or hoodie £16 as Christmas present?  Available on the night or give me call 07983 809120.
