VOLUNTEERING

Don’t know anything about cycling but would like to help out, have skills to offer or wish to learn new skills? Well you are welcome in Kings Cliffe Flyers Cycling Club. We want to be the best Go-Ride community club in the country and this can only be achieved by embracing & welcoming people like you. There are a number of roles available whenever you have some free time & for most of them you don’t need to know anything about cycling. Some roles may require a Criminal Record Bureau Enhanced check done free of charge through British Cycling our National Governing Body. We are keen to assist Young Leaders & the club is registered with Nene Valley Voluntary Youth Action. All volunteers who join the club will be eligible in their first year for FREE British Cycling Membership.* The roles are as follows;

Registrar / Starter/ Timekeeper / Record Keeper - For 10 mile Individual Time Trial on Tuesdays

Marshals – For 10mile Individual Time Trial

Coaching assistants / Race Officials - For Youth Coaching/Racing Sessions on Thursdays

Coaches – Need to be British Cycling qualified coaches. Coaching bursaries are currently available.

Cycling Leaders – Need to be suitably qualified although funding may be available to facilitate this.

Website guru- To manage & update. Currently a WordPress Blogsite so no hosting required.

Funding co-ordinator - Research & make funding applications to relevant bodies as required.

Volunteer cordinator – Manage volunteers

Club Welfare Officer - We already have a male welfare officer but would like a female welfare officer too.
